WellPartner’s second generation WellSafe Explorer system, the WellSafe Explorer II, was used during a two well program onboard Scarabeo 5 for Statoil.
The first operation was a fishing operation with wireline. WellPartner executed pre job system check offshore and the system was rigged up in less than 1 hour. After the system was rigged up it was agreed to change activation setting due to rig compensator hysteresis being higher than accounted for in pre job planning. The WellSafe Explorer II setting was easily changed by WellPartner personnel after the system was rigged up in the derrick.
This proved that operational settings easily can be changed without affecting effective rig time.
WL equipment was efficiently installed inside the system. The system was rigged up in the derrick for a period of 28 days. After the operation the system was left in the derrick while skidding to the second well.
For the second well Statoil retrieved a X-mas tree. WL equipment was utilized on this well also. The system was rigged up in the derrick for a period of 6 days. The effective rig down time after the operations was 0,5 hours.
